This privacy policy explains how Apro Footwear Ltd collects, uses, and protects personal data when you contact us or use this website (aprofootwear.com). It also sets out your rights under UK data protection law.
We are a business-to-business supplier of own-label safety footwear. This website is aimed at trade buyers, brand managers, and procurement teams — not consumers. Even so, the people who contact us are individuals, so this policy applies to any personal data you share with us.
Who we are
Apro Footwear Ltd is the “data controller” responsible for your personal data.
- Company: Apro Footwear Ltd
- Company number: 09078759 (registered in England and Wales)
- Registered office: C/O Suite 2, Fitzroy House, Lynwood Drive, Worcester Park, KT4 7AT, England
- Contact for privacy matters: admin@aprofootwear.com
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email us at the address above.
What personal data we collect
We only collect data you choose to give us, plus a small amount collected automatically to keep the site running securely.
Data you provide when you contact us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company or organisation name
- Your phone number (if you provide it)
- The content of your enquiry — for example, the products you are interested in, quantities, specifications, or timelines
Data collected automatically:
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, recorded by our web host in standard server logs. This is used to operate the site and keep it secure. We do not use this data to identify individuals or to build profiles.
We do not collect special category data (such as health or biometric data), and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
How we collect it
- Enquiry and quote request form: When you submit the contact / RFQ form, the details are sent to our business inbox so we can respond.
- WhatsApp: If you contact us using the WhatsApp button, your message and phone number are handled through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Their use of your data is governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
- Email: If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Server logs: Technical data is collected automatically by our hosting provider.
Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
We use your personal data to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide quotes, samples information, or product details you have requested
- Manage and carry out any supply relationship or order you enter into with us
- Keep records of our business communications
- Maintain the security and proper operation of this website
Our lawful basis under the UK GDPR is legitimate interests — specifically, our interest in responding to and managing business enquiries that you have initiated, and in running our business and keeping our systems secure. Where you are asking us to take steps toward a possible contract, we may also rely on the performance of a contract (or steps taken at your request before entering one).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
Who we share your data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers (“processors”) to run our website and communications. They only process your data on our instructions:
- Microsoft 365 — hosts our business email, where your enquiry is received and stored.
- Heart Internet — hosts this website and its server logs.
- WhatsApp / Meta — only if you choose to contact us via the WhatsApp button.
We may also share data where we are legally required to do so — for example, to comply with a court order or a request from a regulator.
International data transfers
Enquiries you send us are delivered to our Microsoft 365 mailbox, and our website is hosted in the UK. Microsoft may process data in data centres outside the UK as part of providing Microsoft 365; where that happens, Microsoft provides transfer safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
If you choose to contact us using the WhatsApp button, WhatsApp (operated by Meta) may process your data in the United States and other countries, in line with WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and correspondence data only for as long as we need it to respond to you and to manage any resulting business relationship, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. After that, we securely delete or anonymise it.
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted after 24 months. Where you become a customer, we keep relevant records for the duration of our relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Cookies
This website uses only strictly necessary cookies — small files required for the site to function correctly and securely (for example, standard WordPress session and functionality cookies). Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), these cookies do not require your consent, so we do not display a cookie consent banner.
We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies, and we do not embed third-party tracking technologies.
If we introduce any non-essential cookies in future — for example, website analytics — we will update this policy and put an appropriate consent mechanism in place first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Erase your data in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to our processing of your data
- Data portability — to receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
- Withdraw consent, where our processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@aprofootwear.com. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator:
- Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Helpline: 0303 123 1113
If you are based in the EU, you may also contact your local data protection supervisory authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the “last updated” date shown at the top.
